Hollow Salvage & Installation

Hollow-bearing trees provide critical habitat for many native species. When removal is unavoidable, Resilience undertakes hollow salvage and installation in accordance with development consent conditions and biodiversity management requirements.

We identify and recover suitable hollows from impacted trees and install them securely in nearby retained vegetation. Placement is guided by habitat suitability, structural stability, and species requirements to maximise the likelihood of successful use by fauna.

Our team ensures salvaged hollows are integrated into the landscape as functional habitat features, helping to mitigate the loss of natural tree hollows and support local biodiversity.
